Well, Baine has been gone almost a week now, but the adventures continue. These pictures are from the Kids fishing derby on Saturday morning. We had to be at the lake by 6 AM so everyone could have a shot at catching the biggest trout. I thought that renting a row boat would be a great benefit for the contest because we could get to the deepest part of the lake and surely we would catch the winning trout. Well, it turned out to be a very, very, windy day and our rowing skills (none), got us a few laughs and some sore muscles. The second picture is us being towed in by the park ranger. Needless to say the kids did not win the fishing derby, but they have a good story to tell.

I left California on Monday morning at 6:30AM headed for Georgia. I made it to Birmingham, AL the following night at9:00PM, and spent the night with our friends Doug and Kim Melton. Doug and Kim own an auto shop, so I spent this morning having Doug teach me how to do a brake job on the one-ton Dodge. I am in Atlanta now trying to finalize a plan for going into MS for Katrina cleanup. Maybe I'll wait till hurricane Rita passes.

Work, Work, Work.
What would I do without these two guys? They help whenever I want them too, or whenever I yell for them to get off their lazy butts and get with it! Jeremiah has trouble working, that's why I let him man the hose. That's a cross between work and play, but he can't figure that out yet.

Jordan and Mikayla in Port Townsend, WA
Jordan had been away for a couple of weeks visiting a wonderful family in Washington, which is why I have not posted any pictures of her until now. I asked her how her trip went, and she said that she killed some crabs and shoveled horse manure. Not quite Club Med.
Actually, all she can talk about is how beautiful Port Townsend is, and the ocean, and the ferry, and how I would love it, and how much it reminds her of Dad and Mom, and how we should move there. She should be in sales.

Labor Day Fishing Trip Off Coronado Islands
This was a great first sea fishing trip for the boys. We left out of the Fisherman's Pier in San Diego. Mom shopped (Jordan was away in WA) while we caught 23 fish. It was a 12 hour trip, and as you can see by the picture Jake was feeling pretty crummy. I spent most of the day baiting hooks and keeping close watch on Smooty. He almost went overboard once. Knucklehead!

Hello Everyone.
Today I found out that the contractor we are working for will be pulling out Wednesday. He is losing money on this job, so he is leaving before it's finished. Hope his check clears.
We are weighing our options and making a plan.

God Bless Our Country.
Hello Everyone,
Tomorrow starts week ten of our participation in the Fuels Reduction program in Julian, CA. We are all tired of SoCal, and eagerly await a change. We are making plans to put a crew in the Gulf Coast region to aid in the hurricane Katrina cleanup, and we will post our progress as it changes.
