FROM CROSS COUNTRY RACES TO FOOTBALL GAMES

We started our Saturday morning with a 6:30AM arrival at the high school, so that Jordan could get on the bus for her cross country meet. Then we all loaded up in the car and headed that way to make it in time for a 9:30AM run. She did great placing 30th out of about 150 girls. After three hours at the meet and about 10 bottles of water we headed out for another two hour drive to make it in time for Jeremiah's 3:00PM weigh-in for a football game. It was also a great game....they lost but Jeremiah was on his A game today. We made it home about 9PM tonight and everyone was ready for bed. Jacob has two football games next week, Jordan has a cross country meet and Jeremiah has a game on Saturday.....It will be another busy week.

A VISIT FROM THE ROMERO FAMILY
It was a grand family reuninon. We have not seen the Romero family since we left Julian California and it was great to see them. It was like we were never apart. The kids jumped right into their old routine, Guillermo and Baine talked for hours and Carina started cooking for us....Just like old times but without the RV. We will be sad to see them go tomorrow but revel in the fact that they will be only a days drive away. We are already planning a trip for October.

LOOKING OUT FROM THE LOFT

We are about two weeks from completion and it is looking great. The heating and air system is installed and the finishing touches are being applied. We are excited to get this one finished and sold.

Hickory Lane

The painters started on the cabin Saturday morning and by Sunday after church they were almost complete. It looks great and as soon as the doors dry I will get a picture from the front. Baine and I also celebrated our 17 year anniversary this weekend. We enjoyed dinner out with the kids and bought the famiy a membership at the YMCA for an anniversary gift.

BRING IN THE PAINTERS

The outside of the first cabin is finally complete. Baine had to hire some helpers since his helpers went back to school and boy were they quick. The painters will be in on Thursday to put the finishing touches on the outside. The rough in plumbing and electrical is almost finished also. We are moving right along.
